ex Carceri - Old Prison

Historic building, now social housing

This massive building is still impressive today.

It housed the Rubicon district local prison from the Napoleonic era until the Unification of Italy. Previously, from 1704, it was the first home of the Bertinoro Diocesan Seminary, which was then moved to what had once been the Corpus Domini Monastery.

Accessing the area from the road at the side, visitors can reach a magnificent viewpoint and the garden, which is open to the public.
