Bertinoro Cima Pantani

Overlooking the Savio valley, Pantani’s climb (Cima Pantani in Italian) recalls the exploits of the “Pirate”, celebrated with a small monument at the top of the climb. Here, the road climbs decisively embracing the slopes of the hill 'Montevecchio' with a succession of hairpin bends and stretches with wide curves, and reaching the decent 15% slope in the central part. Between one hairpin bend and another, the white writing on the asphalt still pays tribute to the Pirate and encourages the exploits of cyclists of every level and preparation. The ascent to the Pantani's climb is preceded by the one at Monte Cavallo, which stands out for its views over the surrounding valleys, up to the plain.
